KATIA'S GUIDE TO HYDRA
Arguably Greece’s most famous island for art and bohemia, Hydra has long cultivated a reputation as the artist’s escape: drawing painters, poets, and dreamers for decades.
A car-free haven of cobalt coves, winding lanes, and a bustling port, Hydra offers an eclectic mix of everything..

WHERE TO STAY
Moor a yacht in Mandraki bay - the next bay across from the main Hydra port. There’s nothing quite like an evening stroll back to your boat and falling asleep to the gentle rocking of the water.

WHERE TO EAT
Where to eat:
I) Omilos
For an incredible take on modern degustation, in a restaurant at the edge of the main port. The outdoor dining feels like you are sitting in the Aegean Sea itself.
A quiet spot at Mandraki Bay with a stunning view, and close enough to hear the lapping water on the rocks. Traditional and relaxed.
Casual, with a beautiful view over rooftops and main port. Busy as it’s in the main tourist area.
4) Téchnē
Worth the walk: make time to sit at Téchnē and watch the sunset with a spritz in hand.
